If you want to play with a new addon for Midtown Madness 2, you can now post your vehicle or track request.
First of all I need some infos about your request i.e. the original author name, his email address, his website, the link of this file, the source and a pic if possible.
Here's a short list to suggest me a car available from another game.
You can also add some specifications concerning the vehicle suggestion (top speed, horsepower and so on), the track length but also add a correct flat pic for the dashboard view.
Here's the specific rules to find a workable dashboard pic.
- The view : perfectly frontal, we can't start the dashboard with some weird angle views.
- The quality : very important because MM2 support only 65.000 combinations of colors (16 bits per pixel). We're using more than 65k because we save textures as 32 bits (with alpha layer) but MM2 decrease the quality automatically.
- The Size : another important point, we make quality dashboards (1024*1024 pxl) so if you suggest us a pic with less than 1024 pxl, it will be difficult to get a quality view. So, 1280*1024 and more are the best choice.

Then I'll check your request. When I accept it, the vehicle is added from this list. Please use the search tool before posting (only for the registered members).
Currently I'm able to convert cars from these games/formats to Midtown Madness 2.
You must know some things about my conversion steps.
- The limit for a MM2 vehicle is based on the whole body vertices only (main parts of the car, called BODY_H).
If this count exceed 65.000 I cannot convert this car for MM2 without remove some parts to have maximum 55.000 vertices (no limit for the other parts like wheels, detachable parts). There's no limit for the polycount except your PC system
- Only medium and high polygons models with a very good look (without serious normals problems, imperfect details, etc) will be accepted.
- I cannot add traffic, cops and pedestrians from a converted track because I need to make roads, sidewalks and other roads details with accuracy what ZModeler cannot do except with some restrictions (no corners, no high roads).
- I don't convert cars coming from directly these games. But I can contact the original author to get a workable model.
- This thread was made only for conversions requests not for scratch models, thanks for your understanding.
